Use of BDMS requires installation of ActiveX components on your PC.
Compatibility Information
- BDMS is compatible with Microsoft Windows XP, 7, and 8, using the Internet Explorer 11 (IE11 and older versions) browser for full functionality.
- If you are only viewing docs in BDMS, other browsers can be utilized.
Installation Process*
1. Setup your browser according to the Web Xtender Browser Settings.
2. Synchronize your Banner account and password with BDMS by calling 575-646-4238 and speaking with a Records Management and Retention (RMR) Office employee.
3. If you have been given access to scan/upload documents, download Web Access Client Components.msi and run the following as a local administrator:
- If you have installed the optional Client Components on the machine previously, follow these steps to apply the patch to the installed ApplicationXtender Client Components:
- Close Internet Explorer.
- Copy ApplicationXtender Web Access Client Components 7.0.msi to client machine.
- Run the Command Prompt as local administrator and cd to the folder where the file was copied.
- Run the following command:
msiexec.exe /i "ApplicationXtender_Web_Access_Client_Components_7.0.msi" REINSTALLMODE=vomus REINSTALL=ALL
- If you have not installed the optional Client Components on the machine:
- Close Internet Explorer.
- Copy ApplicationXtender Web Access Client Components 7.0.msi to client machine.
- Double click the msi file directly to install it.
*Notes:
If you are supported by the FSA tech group, only step 2 needs to be completed.
If you have view/print access, complete only steps 1 and 2. Step 3 is not necessary.
Chrome and Firefox can be used only for viewing documents.
